Werds

Particular words and phrases are shared by multiple cybersecurity-related terms, such as:

• * control - preventive, detective or corrective control ... and there are others

• * risk - input, processing and output risk ... and more besides

• * test - system, application and integration test etc.

• *aaS - SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, NaaS and so on

• *-in-the-* - MiTM, MiTE, MiTB, AiTM, or in the wild/loop/air ...

• *Tech - biotech, FinTech and other tech neologisms

• *ware - malware, ransomware, middleware, stalkerware, Tupperware ...

I've generally shown related terms as 'See also' lists with hyperlinks to their respective hyperglossary entries at the end of the definitions for many such terms, encouraging readers to click through, perhaps diverging to explore other terms and, hopefully, learn a thing or two along the way. These lists of linked term are useful reminders or prompts to read-on, particularly in the hyperglossary format.

Although these terms-with-common-words are all somewhat related, readers (including me!) don't always know or recall all the variations, especially as some are quite obscure or rare. For this self-confessed word-nerd (is that "werd" or "weird"?) , it was absorbing to research, find, define and collate the linked terms, if a little tedious to sort, list, hyperlink and check them. I'm not done yet, and open to suggestions for more of these.
