To foster a dynamic and collaborative approach to cybersecurity terminology, I have established an online hub for the global community of readers. The Hyperglossary group is specifically intended to debate the terms and definitions, suggest additions or clarifications, point out errors that ought to be corrected, and offer alternative interpretations. We are keen to share insights on the terminology and its practical application. Connect with your peers and contribute to the collective understanding of cybersecurity language.

By encouraging active participation and feedback, we are building a living resource that both reflects and drives the ongoing evolution of language and practices across these critical fields.
We are (or will soon be!) a diverse global group of information risk and cybersecurity professionals, students, academics, technologists and language experts, standardisers and others.
Participating in the Hyperglossary group is your opportunity to contribute your wisdom to the field, and perhaps future editions of the Cybersecurity Hyperglossary.
Future updates to both the print and eBook versions will be informed by the active participation of this community. Working together, I believe we can clarify the jargon, bridge communication gaps, reduce ambiguity (risk!) and foster a more consistent lexicon.
It's free? Oh, OK then, let me in!
If you have a keen interest in the linguistics, language and terminology relating to cybersecurity standards and wish to participate actively in the discussions, please:

It is simply a Google Group. Membership of the Hyperglossary group is FREE ... but please state your case briefly when you apply to join: in just a few short words, persuade me that you are community-minded. If you write nothing at all, like a noxious spam bot, your application will probably be rejected out of hand.
I promise not to bombard you with spam nor disclose your details to third parties, except the group and email service providers for the sole purpose of emailing you (obviously!). Trust me: I'm a cybersecurity pro. I detest spam.

If it's not what you expected, you can suspend the group emails, change your email address or unsubscribe at any time, no worries, either via Groups.Google.com or using links at the bottom of community messages.
