Librarian

Those responsible for curating and administering public, corporate, academic, legal and private libraries or collections of definitive reference sources and other non-fiction materials. Guiding or assisting readers to find the information they need is a valuable part of the job: librarians can't be expected to know everything, but they should know where to look.

The book has value for:

  • Learning about this expansive and dynamic topic, keeping up with developments in the field and the language.

  • Referring readers to the Cybersecurity Hyperglossary for clarity on terms, definitions, explanations and general knowledge in this area.

  • Appreciating the fuzzy scope and strong relationships to other fields such as IT/technology in general, privacy, safety, business, management, assurance, compliance ...

  • Assessing the quality, scope, validity and credibility of other reference sources.

  • Protecting their own information assets, systems, databases and services.
